Sand and Storm got its start as a birthday present for the friend who helped me invent the world in the first place. As part of the package, I created a number of “archival documents” of supposed correspondence between the characters and a few other things, all to provide context for the beginning of the story. If you read through all of them, you’ll notice the final version of the story doesn’t exactly match (especially the names). Still, they’re a fun read and throw light on some of the characters’ motivations and histories.
